Head of Accounts

Job description / Role

Financial Leadership:
• Provide strategic financial leadership to the organization, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
• Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for financial improvement.

Financial Reporting:
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis for senior management.

Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Implement effective internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Team Leadership:
• Manage and lead the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Audit Coordination:
• Coordinate external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring a smooth audit process.
• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting function.
• Implement efficiency measures to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.

Salary:
AED 13,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Must have a CA qualification.
• 6-7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
