As the Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of resource discovery by guiding a talented team of researchers and engineers to develop groundbreaking AI solutions.

You will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of our AI R&D initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Description

* Oversee the entire AI/ML development life cycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment, optimisation, and integration, ensuring the successful implementation of AI-driven solutions across various business functions.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for the growth and evolution of the AI/ML department, ensuring the team's capabilities and resources remain aligned with the company's long-term strategic objectives.
* Identify and prioritise key areas for AI integration across various functions, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
* Build and lead a high-performance team of AI/ML researchers, engineers, and data scientists, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
* Forge strategic partnerships with research institutions, universities, and industry leaders to accelerate innovation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

* Hold a Ph.D. or a master's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
* 10 years' experience in leading AI/ML teams and projects
* Extensive hands-on experience (8-10 years) in the research, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions, ideally in an industrial or enterprise setting, with a proven track record of translating research findings into operational, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various machine learning techniques, including deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
* Extensive experience in machine learning operations, with a solid understanding of scalability and cost optimisation.
* Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R) and experience with relevant AI/ML platforms, frameworks, and tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark, Hadoop, etc.), as well as data management and analysis tools (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
* Strong understanding of machine learning operations (MLOps), including techniques for scalability, cost optimisation, and production-ready deployment of AI/ML models in enterprise environments
