Job description / Role
Job Summary:
To oversee day-to-day Business Ethics and Compliance activities, functioning independently & objectively by reviewing & evaluating compliance issues/concerns within the Ecolog Group.
The Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are fully aware of the Ecolog business code of conduct, other rules and regulatory requirements impacting on Ecolog’s business including its customers’ compliance requirements and procedures. The position may require some travel to other offices within the Ecolog group.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Ensure compliance with ethical business conduct issues and develop flow down guidelines to employees and suppliers
• Liaise with the CLO on all legal and regulatory issues that apply to Ecolog’s business activities
• Liaise with the CHRO and prepare compliance reports, highlighting the business risks and non-compliance with Ecolog policies and guidelines.
• Maintain the compliance management system, including preparing and issuing ethics and compliance policies, procedures, and training materials, and monitoiring and auditing of ethics and compliance activities
• Administer the Ecolog Hotline
• Present updates to the SMC
• Liaise with relevant SMC Officers & other internal or external stakeholders to ensure compliance with the requirements of Ecolog’s commercial and government customers
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal or equivalent
• 5 years’ + experience, preferably working in the compliance team of a multinational organisation dealing with employees of all nationalities and backgrounds
• Membership of an international Compliance Organisation such as ICA / SCCE is highly desirable
• Knowledge of compliance program requirements
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and managerial skills
• Excellent written and oral communication in English
• An ability to communicate in other languages is a plus
