Job Description
The Head of Content and Scholarly Communication will lead the planning for and implementation of the UAEU Libraries' collection development and scholarly communication strategies, policy setting, and the evaluation, promotion, and management of online and physical collections.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
Master's degree from ALA (American Library Association) accredited program or its international equivalent;

Preferred Qualification
An advanced degree in another subject discipline is highly desirable.

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
Minimum of five years of experience in an academic or research library with responsibilities in the areas of collection development, research support or senior library management. Experience with copyright and intellectual rights management, and a thorough understanding of academic publishing issues and trends in scholarly communication.
