Job description / Role
This is a challenging role for an experienced banker with strong operational background in guarantees, WPS, and e-Dirhams. The job holder will be tasked with setting up the department from scratch, staffing it with qualified personnel, setting up the systems and interfacing it with existing systems, and lead the business development team.
Once the business is set up, the job holder will be responsible, for the day to day running of the department, including business development. Therefore, the sales aspect is crucial for the long term viability of the business. The job holder must be able to meet the goals and targets set for the business as per an approved business plan.
Requirements
This is a challenging rule for a competent and technically oriented banker.
The job holder must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 10 years banking experience of which at least 7 years in operational role and a minimum of 5 years in guarantees, WPS and e-dirham or any combination of these areas.
- Strong technical skills including knowledge of banking and payment systems
- Strong business development skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal of supervision
