Job description / Role

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an overarching IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Infrastructure Management: Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems, including networks, servers, and hardware.
• Cybersecurity: Implement and oversee robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational information assets.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within established timelines and budgets.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure IT operations comply with regulations and standards; establish and enforce IT policies and procedures.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with senior management and departments to understand technology needs and communicate IT strategies.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience of at least 8 years in IT leadership roles, with a track record of strategic planning and team management.

Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and project management.
• Proficient in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Leadership Abilities:
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a diverse IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Proven experience in strategic decision-making and aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals.

Communication Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Budgeting and Financial Acumen:
• Experience in developing and managing IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
• Financial acumen to align IT expenditures with organizational priorities.

Compliance and Risk Management:
• In-depth knowledge of IT compliance, governance, and risk management.
• Experience implementing and enforcing IT policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.

Project Management:
• Proven track record of successfully overseeing IT projects from initiation to completion, meeting timelines and budgets.

Innovative Thinking:
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement new technologies to enhance business processes.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
• Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ability to ensure the organization's IT systems can recover effectively in the event of a disruption.

Strategic Vision:
• Ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for the IT department, aligning technology initiatives with overall business objectives.
