Head of IT (Cloud)

Job description / Role

Networkers Technology’s exclusive tech client have a great new opportunity for an Head of IT to join their talented international team in Dubai.

This exclusive client are based in the UAE but operate globally and already boast an impressive range of household name clients, offering Cloud Solutions across a range of tech stacks.

You will be joining them on a permanent basis and enjoying a competitive benefits package, to be successful in this position you will need have at least 8 years’ relevant experience in a commercial environment.

You will be responsible for deciding and driving new and innovative ideas and technologies across the company. You will be responsible for managing relationships with key technology partners and research/evaluate new potential partnerships. You will personally be accountable for team development, recruitment, reviews and identifying training opportunities as well as improving profitability, balancing quality with efficiency and giving more accurate estimations of work.

Skills

• Expert public, private, and hybrid cloud computing experience
• Unparralled knowledge with OpenStack, CloudStack, AWS and Azure
• Experience of architecting solutions leveraging Cloud technology including but not limited to AWS, OpenStack, VMWare vCloud and Azure
• Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts and associated security and content distribution technology
• Experience of working in an environment with recognised delivery methodologies including PRINCE & Agile, with ability to work in an environment with a practitioner level understanding of Agile / Dev-Ops principles and their application
• Advanced skills architecting and delivering platform solutions on AWS
• Advanced skills automating and running cloud infrastructure
• Proven skills achieving best practice in DevOps culture and continuous delivery
• AWS certified, or ready to study towards this
