Head of Product

Job description / Role

The Company

Our client, a fast growing fintech payments business with a regional footprint is currently seeking a Head of Product to work across the senior stakeholder team and drive the strategy, rollout and post launch of a portfolio of products. This is a super agile business and will need someone from a fintech, banking or payments background looking to enhance an already great team of people in the region to create and deliver market leading products.

The Role

Responsibilities
* Collaborating with end users and understanding the target market
* Conducting customer survey
* Creating customer journey maps
* Competitor analysis
* Go to market strategies
* Collaborate & contribute to marketing strategies
* Defining the vision
* Create product roadmaps
* Keep products in line with business goals
* Effectively communicate business objectives to key stakeholders
* Manage the product backlog
* Create list of backlog items
* Prioritize items based on overall strategy
* Consider stakeholder requirements
* Manage scope, budget and time to prioritize projects
* Overseeing all stages of the product Lifecycle
* Contribute to the planning, execution and review of each sprint
* Work with development teams to refine and improve processes
* Monitor and evaluate product progress at all stages
* Accountability and reporting
* Report sprint progress
* QA on final products and fit for purpose assessment prior to go product live
* Strong exposure of running Agile Scrum SDLC
* Experience of feature-based product development teams
* Chair demand management meetings
* Contribute towards sprint planning
* Attend stand-up meetings
* Chair sprint retrospective meetings

Requirements

The Candidate

Skills and Experience

* 5+ years of experience in the fintech or banking industry required; mobile payment solutions preferred
* Possess a strong understanding of end-to-end customer centric experience
* In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Life Cycles
* Proven track record of managing new product launches/transformations of mission-critical payment platforms
* Proven track record of managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle (PDLC) for complex, large-scale initiatives

Salary

Up to 45,000 plus benefits
