Head of Public Policy

Job description / Role

As the Head of Public Policy for the UAE, you will be the point of contact between the organisation and all government bodies, primarily at the federal level. You will create and build the policy function, with support from the EMEA team.

Description

* Observe and analyse existing policies and regulations in the UAE, with a view to unlock challenges or mitigate risks emanating from government regulation.
* Build, maintain and enhance relationships with key government stakeholders at every level.
* Engage with relevant non-governmental and industrial stakeholders to build strategic partnerships and outreach programs.
* Develop individual and organisational knowledge of future challenges on a policy, regulatory and geopolitical level.

Requirements

* At least 8 years of experience with public policy and advocacy, ideally for a large consumer-facing or technology multinational.
* Must be based in the UAE, with experience working with government officials in the UAE at an Emirate and Federal level.
* Knowledge of, or experience with, trade policy, economic policy and data policy highly desirable.
* Excellent research and presentation skills, in both English and Arabic.
