Head - Retail Operations

Job description / Role

- Providing effective leadership, support and advice to the retail Operations, Buying, Projects, Marketing and Visual Merchandising team.
- Implement sound business strategies to increase sales and GP of the respective stores in UAE Region
- Ensure availability of stocks at all times and ensure nil stock outs
- Work closely with Buying and Merchandising team to ensure improvement in GP as well as other income.
- Report to Group CEO / Chairman /MD
- Run & develop Stores Operations and guarantee the results
- Optimize existing Stores performances, secure new Openings / expansions.
- Based on Operation’s needs, recruit, train & coach a Team of dedicated professionals
- Propose yearly budgets based on past achievements, confirmed developments prospects & defined Business Unit Strategy
- Define & secure the rolling out of action plans to adjust Stores performances, promote benchmark between Stores & other Regions to exceed budgets
- Guarantee application of defined business processes & operating procedures
- Participate in all Management meetings, propose & lead actions geared toward Business Unit goals
- Drive Customer survey, enrollment into loyalty programs, catchment analysis etc.

Requirements

Integrating the new initiatives with overall operations, strategizing, ensuring effective implementation, growth and maximization of revenues and profitability of the UAE region.

Implement store specific strategy by analysing population as well as competition in the catchment area. Analyse category wise sales to focus on key categories in respective stores. Assist the buying and merchandising team to develop assortment and pricing strategies.
