Employment: Full Time

The Health Service Planning Division provides an integral role to TAHPI in:
• Leading and supporting Health Service Planning consultancy services.
• Developing Feasibility Studies, including the consideration of Supply, Demand and Gap forecasts
• Preparing Needs Analysis & Clinical Services Plans
• Research, generate, analyze & present health care data

The Consulting Analyst/Health Service Planner will demonstrate advance knowledge and capabilities in the practice and application of health service planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or public health related discipline
• Relevant tertiary or higher qualifications in health care provision, management or public health or equivalent senior industry experience in health service planning.
• Experience in Data Analysis & Statistical tools or techniques

Knowledge & Experience
• Proven expertise and experience in health service delivery, health policy, service planning, health statistics analysis or health asset development
• Developed technical skills in the analysis, reporting and ongoing review of evidence and data related to health service need, demand and supply
• Knowledge of directions in health services reform, policy, funding and delivery.
• Experience in project management related to healthcare projects
• Demonstrated capabilities in quality service planning reports for clients
• Capacity to execute submissions, work methodologies, project management plans and project budgets
• Capability to generate solutions for complex issues and prepare comprehensive and well-presented planning documents
to support effective service delivery outcomes
• High level of proficiency at Microsoft Office applications
• A creative perspective on the use and application of data in business development and consultancy

Communication & Interpersonal Skills
• Strong oral & written communication skills, including ability to prepare reports, research papers and correspondence
• Sound interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• The ability to work in a complex and dynamic work environment with strict timelines
• An understanding of the application of information technology to development and automation of health service data for service planning statistical software and web-based tools
