Helpdesk/Desktop Support Administrator

Job description / Role

- Helpdesk/Desktop Support Administrator required by my client a leading company based in Ajman.
- Reporting to the head of IT you will be responsible for providing a wide range of technical services for a large number of end users.
- You must be able to work under pressure, have excellent customer service skills and have a good knowledge of helpdesk and desktop support skills.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
- To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
- To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues
- To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation
- Respond to inquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems
- Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected
- Support users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
- To allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support member
- To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house

Requirements

- You must have a solid understanding of Windows XP through to Windows &, from Office 2007 to 2010/13
- Must have solid PC, laptops, printer and scanner skills from installation, deployment through to upgrades etc, and be comfortable in a multi end system environment.
- Other key skills will include Incident managements, problem management, desktop operations management, service request management of all related desktop requirements.
