Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A new senior HR opportunity has become available with a prestigious brand within the media sector. A regional market leader, the organisation has offices on a global scale and has been well established in the Middle East for 25 plus years. As the business moves into the future, the Senior Leadership Team have taken the decision to add this new HR Director post to their portfolio. This is a role that will bring about change and be highly strategic (with some operational aspects), however the main purpose of the HRD will be to ensure the business is an employer of choice for the media industry in the GCC region.

As a key decision maker within HR, you will form part of the Leadership Committee and therefore have an overview of the realities of both the business and its employees. This role requires those who are highly people centric in their approach as some of the key aspects of the position will be succession planning, talent management, employee engagement, career development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, across all levels of seniority. You will review current HR metrics and recommend improvements and establish trends, review policies and procedure, form a strategic and long-term perspective, alongside the assistance of the Head of HR & Talent Acquisition (who in turn manages a team of 6). Managing the complete HR budget, you will guide the organisation through best practices, internal change and the development of new technologies in line with industry and HR trends across the entirety of the business. The HRD will also further develop employee engagement and CSR programmes to increase brand buy in and awareness from the employees and with the wider GCC community.

Requirements

This is a great opportunity for a highly communicative and involved strategic Senior HR professional to join a fast paced and ever-changing environment and be part of the positive change for the future. It is therefore essential that you are currently in a senior HR role, accustomed to organisational and employee change management and possess local UAE experience. It is likely that you are already a HR Manager or Business Partner in a large MNC and therefore highly familiar with international best practices and knowledge. You will be a natural leader and motivator, with influential capabilities and excellent communication skills to manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships. It is also required that you possess relevant HR qualifications and have a steady and progressive career history. Those from the media sector are advantageous, but certainly not essential. The key criteria to be successful in this role is your ability to bring about change in a positive and strategic manner.
