Job description / Role
As the HR Manager for a UAE Schools Division, you will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with our organization's goals and values. You will manage all HR activities for four schools, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws and promoting a positive and inclusive work culture. This role requires excellent HR management skills, strong communication, and a deep understanding of the education sector.
• Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's objectives and support the growth and success of the schools.
• Recruitment and Staffing: Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees, teachers, and administrative staff.
• Performance Management: Implement performance appraisal systems, provide coaching, and assist in the development of performance improvement plans.
• Employee Relations: Handle employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment. Ensure compliance with labor laws and employment contracts.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and oversee professional development opportunities for staff.
• Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
• Compliance: Stay up-to-date with UAE labor laws and ensure all HR policies and procedures are in compliance. Handle visa and work permit issues for expatriate staff.
• HR Data and Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records, generate HR reports, and analyze data to make informed decisions.
• Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion within the schools, ensuring a respectful and inclusive work environment for all employees.
• Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve HR-related disputes and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the HR budget for the UAE Schools Division
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar HR leadership role in the education sector.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
