Employment: Full Time

JOB OVERVIEW: To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the Human Resources Department in relation to the Company Core Process and Recruit & Retain Colleagues Key Process; thus directly impacting hiring, managing of Colleague arrivals, providing support, entertaining and engaging, and managing Colleague departures.

This position acts as a business partner by embedding company HR strategy and by providing professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal client groups with the objective to add value to the business.

JOB SCOPE:
- Acts as a single point of the contact for Colleagues and managers in their assigned business areas.
- Understands the commercial business and processes and the link between HR strategy and business strategy
- Reviews monthly reports such as turnover, Key HR Statistics for corporate, Financial Variance Reports, Financial Executive Summary, etc. used to guide decision making in line with company strategy to include areas such as retention, engagement, absenteeism, performance management and talent development
- Applies change management and organizational development strategies, influences and assists organizational change initiatives in support of business strategies
- Ensures that HR services are provided as appropriate to Colleague needs, identifies new opportunities where HR can add value, and maintains leading-edge knowledge of HR issues
- Ensures the required level of support from the HR Services team and reviews proper administration and implementation of contracts, labor requirements, probationary period, leave administration, performance reviews, and employment status change and other Colleague and Colleague welfare related issues in order to ensure that all organizational policies and procedures and UAE labor legislation are followed.
- Understands Colleague opinions, monitors the effect of business decisions on Colleagues, and advises senior management on addressing Colleagues’ concerns
- Effectively applies performance management to create a high-performance culture
- Ensures that disciplinary action and terminations are executed fairly and correctly as per company policies and procedures.
- Compiles, manages and reviews HR headcount budgets for the business area ensuring compliance with headcounts, salary bands, grading levels, benefits, job titles and structure. Provides recommendations in relation to organizational structure, staff productivity and efficiency related to company strategy and goals. Ensures any headcount budget changes have the necessary approval before being implemented.
- Understands, communicates, and applies reward & recognition strategies leading to an engaged and high-performing workforce
- Applies Colleague relations and employment practices in order to create a positive, ethical, effective work environment
- Proactively supports the delivery of HR Processes at their assigned business areas
- Ensures the leisure facility organization chart and job descriptions are in place and updated as appropriate
- Reviews and updates at regular intervals HR processes, policies, forms and reference documents as approved by line manager and ensures continuous compliance to the same.
- Reviews and approves payroll related payments including the monthly payroll run, salary increases, final settlements and bonus payments.
- Ensures a Colleague event calendar is in place and executed to support Colleague welfare and engagement initiatives across the business.
- Advise managers on organizational policy matters and recommends needed changes to policies.
- Serve as a link between management and Colleagues by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.

Requirements

- Higher Secondary or equivalent
- Total of 5 years Managerial/HR work experience
- Previous experience working with a diverse workforce
- Knowledge of UAE Labor Law
- Some ERP experience required
- Excellent communication & analytical skills required
- Previous experience in Human Resources Management
- Team Player

- Strong Business Acumen
- Strong Time Management and Priorities Management Skills
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

Desirable:
- Degree or Diploma in HR or Business Management, CIPD qualification
- Proven track record of progression in various HR disciplines and operational hospitality/leisure/guest service experience
- Working knowledge of any HRMS
- HR consulting skills
