Hygiene Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hygiene Officer to join Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island.

What you will be doing:

- Ensures that the Hotel's food safety and management standard is implemented and maintained according to the established procedures, operational policies and controls.
- Formulates and maintains an updated procedural manual for the Hotel.
- Responsible for achieving organizational standards in hygiene, cleanliness and safety in all F&B areas and Culinary.
- Train and raise awareness relating to food safety and good hygiene practice to all Heartists.
- Monitor all Food Hygiene policies and procedures in all the areas.
- Coordinates all sanitation and hygiene related meetings & activities of the hotel.

Job Responsibility:

- Hygiene officer must have good organizational skills so that they can prioritize duties and, when required, assign tasks to other staff in their team.
- They also need to be capable of working independently and meeting deadlines effectively, so they also need independent work and time management skills.
- Attention to detail is important because they need to ensure that all regulations are met when investigating issues or reviewing operational procedures.
- They also need communication skills to produce reports or inform staff of their findings and recommendations.
- Hygiene officer must complete studies in subjects such as food technology, biological sciences or a similar field.
- Propose and maintain minimum standards in all work areas, stores, receiving and disposal areas to adhere at all times to required hygiene standards
- Responsible for effective and efficient maintenance of records related to the Hotel's sanitation and hygiene efforts/program
- Formulates and maintains an up-to-date methodology manual that is constantly available for use and review by the section personnel
- Responsible for promoting effective dissemination coordination with the rest of the staff in the Hotel
- Responsible for the office/section area being clean and orderly with an organized and efficient workflow
- Performs special assignments and projects assigned to the office by the superiors
- Conduct and chair HACCP meeting on schedules.
- Evaluate tests and create reports to control, ensure everything runs smoothly and precisely.
- Monitors, assists and performs all procedures and protocols for maintaining an excellent sanitation and hygienic environment
- Continually liaises with external agencies (laboratory, government bureau, health practitioners, etc.) on sanitary matters.
- Propose and maintain standards in working areas, stores, receiving and disposal areas to adhere at all times to required hygiene standards
- Ensure all concerned employees are trained and competent in all procedures relevant to their role.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel industry with good knowledge in HACCP/ ISO certification
- Food Safety qualification background
- Knowledge on local food authority requirements
- Team player in inspection/ audits
- Good communication and computer skills
- Food safety level 4, ISO 22K internal auditor & EFST certified
