In-House Legal Consultant

Job description / Role

As an In-house Legal Consultant at MundoCrypto, you will have a deep understanding of the pressure points, strategy, and objectives of our business. You will draft contracts and advise on contractual issues and disputes. We look to you to liaise with our regulators and advise us on regulatory matters, empowering us to manage our legal risk profile with informed strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Draft, update, and negotiate contracts and other key agreements and policies for company in various jurisdictions.
• Provide accurate, relevant, and timely advice to the company on a variety of legal topics, in particular, intellectual property rights, financial, and contract matters internationally.
• Keep the team informed about any legal and regulatory changes that impact the Group and recommend necessary measures.
• Offer counsel on various legal issues to internal stakeholders, including employment legislation.
• Create and implement strategies for avoiding and resolving disputes.
• Stay updated on legislative and regulatory developments in the Defi industry; develop plans for the company to stay compliant with all applicable legal requirements in various jurisdictions.
• Represents the Legal Department on internal or external working groups and committees and implement legal strategies in support of the Legal Department's objectives.
• Advise internal legal, policy, communications, product, operations and business teams on regulatory risks and compliance with regulatory decisions relating to a wide variety of data protection matters

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications:
• Understanding of digital assets, NFTs and Cryptocurrencies; Cryptocurrency knowledge is must
• UAE Laws, GDPR & SAFT (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens)
• Knowledge of Dubai Virtual Assets Law
• Familiarity with legal procedures and financial services regulation in the DIFC, UAE/ EU or comparable jurisdiction
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters effectively and efficiently
• 8+ years' legal work experience in UAE/ Europe preferably
• Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• A combination of private practice and in-house experience with international (EU) as well as local companies is preferred.
• Preferable Spanish Speaking
