Job description / Role

• Ensure that all the box office sales from the cinemas where Gulf Film movies are distributed are collected, consolidated and monitored through the weekly cinema program, DCP/KDM issuance report and random checking of cinema schedule online.
• Reporting of Box office reports to the Studios, distributors, and partners
• Monitors released movies in Levant area and ensure that revenues from these areas are reported by Partners.
• Calculate the (theatrical) rental and distribution share of each movie released depending on the movie contract or percentage applicable in every location.
• Raise invoice on weekly/monthly basis to different exhibitors (theatrical and non-theatrical all over UAE and other territories)
• Appropriately allocates revenues and posts to the appropriate ledger accounts & generate invoices on a weekly basis to exhibitors as per exhibited film titles.
• Prepare and maintain the statistical data required for the market analysis and all other numbers related to movies screening.
• Monitors publicity expenses and other movie related expenses such as sub-distribution fees and taxes and raise the credit memos accordingly.
• Reconcile and post necessary adjustments if applicable with proper approvals and explanations pertaining to the settlement of film share.
• Booking of VPF expenses
• Weekly review of the currency exchange rates being applied and ensure the exchange rates are updated while raising the invoices
• Provides assistance in the closing of books at month end.
• Responsible for the transfer of Theatrical Revenue and other Expenses where partnership arrangement are applicable.
• Prepare any daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly theatrical statistical reports as may be requested by Distribution and Marketing Department managers from time to time.
• To maintain organized files of all pertinent audit records.
• To provide courteous and professional service at all times and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues.
• To be fully aware of the film distribution policies and territory tax laws and procedures and to adhere to them.
• Preparing yearly, monthly and weekly collection forecast
• Receivable follow up as per the cash collection policy of the company
• To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Financial Accounting.
• CPA/Chartered accountant/ACCA accreditation is an advantage.
• Audit Experience is a must.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• ERP knowledge.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
