Individual Learning Support Assistants (ILSAs) - Dubai British School Jumeirah Park
Individual Learning Support Assistants (ILSAs) provide one-to-one instructional support to a designated child with a disability and/or learning need in the mainstream classroom. ILSAs work under the direction and supervision of the class teacher to ensure the child receives direct and individualised attention.
The main responsibilities include providing in-class, individualised remediation; providing instructional assistance in specialist lessons; implementing behaviour intervention and management; and maintaining comprehensive communication between the school and the family.
This is a local hire position with the salary paid by the family of the student.
We have vacancies for the start of the new academic year to work with primary aged children with special needs.
Requirements
One must be patient, self-initiated, and compassionate. It is desirable for candidates to have previous experience working in schools and/or with children with special needs. A suitable candidate will be qualified to leaving certificate (A-Level or equivalent)
