Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

• Job holder will responsible for end to end ownership and management of the new CBD Digital Lab in DIFC.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Foster a culture of innovation across the Bank and drive the innovation agenda in line with the bank's Customer First and Default Digital ambitions
• Represent CBD in the DIFC Innovation Hub, demonstrating the CBD CODE Values in all interactions and demonstrating the innovation agenda of the Bank for DIFC stakeholders
• Promote collaboration in the FS Ecosystem and market CBD in DIFC (within the restrictions of the regulatory parameters set by DFSA)
• Promote new and disruptive ideas and facilitate ideation sessions with potential partners
• Prepare and maintain an annual calendar of events with coordination across relevant bank stakeholders
• Day to day management of the DIFC Digital Lab against set annual calendar
• Developing and building relationships with key FinTech partners and identification of possible FinTech partnerships
• Supporting on all FinTech related ventures that the bank partakes in and the development of the bank's wider FinTech strategy
• Managing the day to day relationship with the DIFC FinTech Innovation Hub team
• Stakeholder management across all FinTech vendors including onboarding of new FinTech partners
• Schedule and run innovation learning sessions with Tumoo graduates
• Support the CBD employee innovation challenge, shaping challenge objectives, collaborating with ECMO team to meet challenge objectives
• Collaborating with Big 4 / Big Tech partners to forge closer strategic innovation-related partnerships in the UAE
• Positioning CBD as a thought leader in the DIFC Innovation Hub and identification of upcoming problem areas, by organizing for staff members with various areas of expertise (e.g. operations, payments, credit cards, risk management, etc.) to be present in the Lab for coaching of FinTechs
• Run "Voice of the Customer" learning sessions, collating customer suggestions for filtration through to Digital Channels teams
• Manage the lab calendar ensuring that business units, including DCM & Syndications team, actively avail of the working space
• Facilitate MOU signings and press releases from the Digital Lab
• Schedule and host ongoing emerging technology sessions in the working space
• Ensure that the shared auditorium and other available benefits of DIFC Innovation Hub membership are availed of by CBD
• Manage Social Media channels for the Digital Lab, working with the Marketing team on content creation and monitoring
• Facilitate bank participation on DIFC organized panel sessions and run CBD panel sessions to discuss pertinent industry topics

Education and Experience

• University BA or post graduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or Management or UX, UI design schools.
• A person who is used to work in Agile methodology also advantageous
• Worked in one or more of fintechs/technology companies/other financial institutions/corporate /consultancy/e-commerce companies.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technology, design, digital channels (mobile online, wallets, web site\u2026etc) project management, payments, digital marketing, customer experience.

An Emiri Decree issued by His Highness the Late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the founder of modern Dubai, laid the cornerstone of Commercial Bank of Dubai. We started out as a joint venture of Commerzbank, Chase Manhattan Bank and Commercial Bank of Kuwait. A minority stake was held by a few UAE businessmen.

By 1982, little more than a decade later, we evolved into a National Public Shareholding company. A feat complimented by an exponential increase in the capital base and mammoth restructuring of our operations. The feather in the cap came when the Government of Dubai became a key shareholder.
