Instructional Designer

Job description / Role

Cutting edge Executive Training Company is currently recruiting an Instructional recruiter to join their Dubai office.

The main focus of the role is to be responsible for the development and maintenance of learning material solutions for Learning and Development according to the Design and Development standards and guidelines. This includes the maintenance of all existing learning solutions as well as future development. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the content according to standard operating policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
• Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
• State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
• Develop learning objectives in line with best practice using adult learning principles that address multi-generational and cross-cultural needs
• Develop project plans and timelines
• Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
• Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
• Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
• Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
• Create high quality learning content (e-Learning based course ware, video, podcast, Jive blogs and discussions, live or recorded webinars, instructor-led courses, training guides, PPTs, performance support documentation, etc.) to ensure learner goals are achieved
• Research learning trends, technologies and vendors to support growth of the business

Requirements

Requirements

• Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
• Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
• Ability to storyboard an advantage
• Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
• Ability to build trust with both internal and external clients
