Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a worldwide supplier of services and products relating to the global oil and gas production industry.
Our client is looking to hire an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to be based in their Abu Dhabi office.
Your main responsibilities will be preparing both basic and detailed instrumentation design, engineering activities for assigned projects in the Petrochemical/Oil & Gas plants.
You will perform all aspects of the discipline scope for the project, design, calculations sizing and selection of equipment, ensuring technical integrity, and safe and sustainable design.
You will also prepare and issue RFQ’s, review drawings, datasheets, loop diagrams MTO and installation drawings. In addition, you will be responsible for performing engineering and applications of instruments, F & G, including knowledge on DCS, PLC, SIS, HMI and SCADA, participating in all SIL & HAZOP reviews and recommendations.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a minimum of a bachelors in Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the natural gas processing industry.
You should have strong knowledge of instrumentation engineering for gas compression and processing equipment as well as hands on AutoCAD experience and be well versed in engineering codes and standards such as IEC, ATEX, CSA, Shell DEP, API, ANSI and ISA.
It is essential you are available to travel up to 30% with this role, as there is an element of travel to remote sites involved.
