Job description / Role
Your Role
As an ema. ID FF&E Assistant for Hospitality you are able to coordinate FF&E design based on established concepts, program and budget under the direction of the Senior Designer and/or a Project Designer.
Responsibilities
• Work with Design Director and client to coordinate FF&E design package based on project criteria, program and budget
• Participates in presentation and insures format is compatible with office and client standards
• Coordinate and maintain FF&E BOQ, budget.
• Review FF&E specifications for documentation and approval.
• Serve as local contact with purchasing agent for FF&E.
• Reviews sample, strike-offs, etc. for compliance with specifications and design intent.
• Directs and reviews furniture plans for content and accuracy and insures that they are fully coordinated with architectural, electrical, RCP & lighting plans and other consultants’ drawings
• Coordinates presentation of artwork.
• Coordinates FF&E installation with all parties involved.
• Works with Project Designer and Project Manager throughout project to help formulate staff utilization/work plan, task assignments.
• Be knowledgeable about contractual responsibilities as it relates to FF&E in all phases.
• Coordinate with Project Architectural Designer for any changes in finish schedule and FF&E items
• Coordinate decorative lighting.
• Allocate and adjust FF&E BOQ in coordination with client and project Design Director.
• Review and modify if necessary: specifications, details of FF&E items.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience with a proven of hospitality project.
• Self-starters with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with a team
• Passionate about design and driven towards creative solutions
• You must have first-hand knowledge of industry standard information technology – Auto CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up etc.
