Job description / Role
The Internal Auditor will be responsible to the CFO for implementing an audit plan and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
Key responsibilities
• Review systems and procedures for their adequacy in accomplishing intended management objectives and goals
• Advise on ways and means of increasing the efficiency of operations
• Ensure the reliability and credibility of financial management through:
• Analysis and testing of the accounting system
• Ensuring an effective payment system
• Reviewing budget performance
• Ensure availability of financial information to the management and Board
• Recommend ways of improving the financial management of operations
• Prepare quarterly and annual audit report for consideration by the management and the Board
• Responsible for risk management
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in finance/accounting and CIA (certified internal auditor) essential
• Minimum 3 years proven auditing experience in a private sector with a particular focus on trading
• Big 4 background is highly preferred
• A strategic thinker
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound leadership and management skills
• Excellent report writing skills
