Internal Communications Associate

Job description / Role

- Managing strategic internal memos, newsletters, articles, reminders, executive emails and integrating/cross-promoting internal events.
- Designing print collateral, including brochures, short publications, and event invitations and working with vendors, including website developers, graphic designers, and print companies.
- Supporting basic media relations, including writing press releases and statements, maintaining media lists, and collecting media mentions.
- Editing communications materials written by the staff and ensuring all communications adhere to the organization’s style guide.
- Ensure all employees engage with and consistently promote the brand.

Excellent writer with exceptional attention to detail. It is critical that s/he understands the importance of targeting communications, including how to write for a specific audience and select the most effective communications medium. S/he must understand the importance of consistency in communications – in her/his writing and design and that of the organization.

It is essential to routinely review and evaluate analytics available through the given electronic media and support other evaluation techniques such as online surveys.

The person must be committed to staying current on new uses of communication technologies and software and should feel responsible for recommending new strategies and applications.

Salary:
AED 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, mass media, political science, marketing or journalism.
- 4 years of work experience and success in a communications role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to write for a variety of audiences and communications mediums.
- Experience working with a website content management system (experience using WordPress a plus)
- Experience working with email marketing systems and LinkedIn content promotion.
- Media relations experience, including writing press releases and statements, building media lists, and collecting media mentions.
