UX Internship (Paid) - News Media and Newsletter business
Join this growing publishing and media business as a UX Intern specializing in News Media and Newsletters. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in user experience design within the fast-paced environment of digital news and media. As a UX Intern, you will collaborate closely with our design and editorial teams to create compelling and intuitive user experiences for our digital news platforms and newsletters. This Dubai based role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about journalism, design, and technology.

Responsibilities:
• User Research: Assist in conducting user research activities to understand the needs, behaviors, and preferences of news consumers.
• Wireframing and Prototyping: Work on wireframes and prototypes for digital news platforms and newsletters, focusing on user flows and interaction design.
• UI Design Support: Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the readability and engagement of news content.
• Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of content strategies that prioritize user needs and preferences, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms.
• Usability Testing: Participate in usability testing sessions to gather feedback from users and iterate on design solutions accordingly.
• Data Analysis: Analyze user data and engagement metrics to identify trends and insights that inform design decisions and content recommendations.
• Documentation: Assist in documenting design concepts, guidelines, and specifications to ensure consistency and scalability across platforms.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including editors, writers, developers, and product managers to implement design solutions that align with editorial objectives and business goals.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Journalism, Communication, or related field.
• Passion for news media, journalism, and digital storytelling.
• Basic understanding of user experience design principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for typography, layout, and visual design.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Additional Details:
Working Hours: The role is either 40 hours (full-time) or 25 hours (part-time) per week, depending on your availability if you are studying.
