Inventory Controller

Job description / Role

JOB PURPOSE: To monitor stock transactions, track inventory and control the flow of equipments by utilizing computer aided software to manage current stock and provide create solutions to discrepancies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Receives delivered supplies, materials and equipment’s by confirming and checking delivered goods matches purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc.
- Issue supplies, materials, and equipment’s to respective Facility Supervisor upon material requisition along with job card and ticket details.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for stock items issued and update records accordingly.
- Organizes and maintains inventory area or room for efficient material storage and handling and maintains labeling each stock item and manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned.
- Prepare daily /monthly inventory control report to Facility Coordinator.
- Respond to all enquiries regarding spare inventories.
- Perform inventory control to ensure optimal inventory levels and establish attic stock level with the help of Facility Supervisor.
- Conducts weekly / monthly cycle counts on inventory materials and provide regular reports on the results.
- Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
- Track defective pieces of inventory and rates of purchase in order to maintain and improve quality control.
- Maintain database of purchased equipment’s warranties and invoices.
- Maintains records of specialized utility equipment such as boilers, washing machines, etc and coordinates the periodic safety inspection and testing accordingly and inform Facility Coordinator for further action.
- Follow up with respective supplier for replacement of equipment’s under warranty.
- Operates equipment safety to properly handle materials being received, issued, stocked, and picked.
- Utilize word processing applications and spreadsheets for inventory control documentation.
- Performs additional related duties as required to support business.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or high school diploma
- Inventory Management certification would be added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in computer-aided warehousing operations and inventory management

Job-Specific Skills:
- Working knowledge of inventory control practices along with knowledge of tools, supplies, equipment’s used for maintenance.
- Considerable knowledge of hazards and safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors and be able to organize items by broad and specific classifications.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
