Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Intern to join our dynamic team at a top-tier Search Fund Private Equity firm. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of private equity, specifically within the search fund model. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in economics, advanced Excel skills, and, preferably, familiarity with Python programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth industry research and market analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Support the due diligence process by analyzing financial statements, business models, and growth strategies.
- Develop complex financial models in Excel to evaluate investment returns, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.
- Assist in preparing investment memorandums and presentations for the investment committee.
- Collaborate with the investment team to monitor and report on portfolio company performance.
- Utilize Python for data analysis and automation of tasks (bonus skill).
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to build financial models and perform data analysis.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Familiarity with Python for data analysis is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity, investments, and the search fund model.
