Job description / Role
G4S UAE is currently looking for an experienced IT Manager that will be responsible for developing and managing the in country delivery capabilities. This role is required to set standards, policies and practices ensuring that the IT service capabilities are met. This includes, planning and establishing the Service Delivery best practices for IT application systems, infrastructure services, IT operations and Information Security to meet business needs and Service Level Agreements.
In addition, the Country IT Manager will ensure that IT Service capabilities are cost effective and flexible by working with the relevant Regional IT, in-country teams and other support parties in meeting service management, incident management, problem management and operation management objectives.
Responsibilities and accountabilities includes but not limited to the following:
• Manage country IT budget (planning, forecasting, reporting)
• Manage country business engagement (requirements, BCP, major operational/ security issues)
• Accountable for customer-facing and business change projects from business case, through delivery, benefits realizations along with PM and BA IT resources
• Manage requests for access to IT resources
• Customer/ country-sovereignty issues addressed by retaining data and services on-shore
• Retain accountability (and resource ownership) for any country customer services that requires dedicated staff (identified as exceptions during the 30 day process)
• Ensure that G4S is the market leader in terms of customer-facing technology deployment, taking advantage of developments (especially digital/ web) that could enhance our offers to customers
• Deliver financials according to the approved budget
• Ensure compliance with key controls
• Deliver IT security audit reports
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computers, Information Technology or any related discipline from a reputable university
• Minimum of 10 years relevant IT experience from large organization, ideally with 5 years experience in a managerial position.
• Strong English communication both written and verbal.
• Expertise in Infrastructure and application software.
• Microsoft and CISCO certified, strong background in ITIL standards
• In depth knowledge of Server/PC hardware, Peripherals, network devices, security software, knowledge in firewall etc.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and be able to identify and diagnose problems with very little information.
• Must have strong communications skills, patience and listening skills. Provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business.
