Charterhouse is working with a client, a prominent Oil and Gas company, who is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Service Delivery Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless IT support for all system users. Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Team Lead, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in the Finance, IT, and Supply Chain departments and make a significant impact on the company's IT infrastructure.

The IT Service Delivery Specialist’s primary mission will be to provide comprehensive support to all IT system users, resolving issues related to computers, peripherals, data, applications, and networking, regardless of whether they are onshore or offshore.

This role will work closely with a team of IT Service Engineers, to be the initial point of contact for all IT support requests. The Specialist will be responsible for advanced technical troubleshooting and problem-solving, as well as the management of computer equipment, applications and accessories.

Additionally, this role will ensure that incidents are resolved or escalated according to IT policy, maintaining the IT Asset Management platform, and adhering to ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Request Fulfilment, and Change. In conjunction, the Specialist will be responsible for helpdesk support, including after-hours support on rotation.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, the candidate should possess a College Diploma in Computer Science or a related IT subject, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is preferred. You should have at least 5 years of previous technical IT work experience, with a background in System Administration, Networking, or IT Support, and it would be a bonus if you have experience supporting technical engineering or geoscience applications.

Key competencies include advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems, business applications and databases. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, MS Access, SQL, Oracle, Citrix, Active Directory, System Centre Configuration Manager, and Exchange management is essential. Familiarity with ITIL v3 is a plus. The ideal candidate should be proactive and possess strong communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and demonstrate a dedicated commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
