Job description / Role
The purpose of this role is to install, build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality.
• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance.
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
• Install, support, and provide end user training for Mobile PDA devices, including Apple, Android & Windows platforms and able to work with MAC laptops.
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.
• To display customer focused IT support, developing and maintaining relationships within the business, at all levels. Communicating both technically and non-technically will be key.
• Assist new joiners with their email and biometrics enrollment
• Assist users with any queries related to troubleshooting.
• Email account administration. ie; that's account creation and administration.
• Analyze complex business/technical data and develop innovative solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in IT
• 3-5 yrs experience
• Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional), Linux
• Experience in Healthcare and Hospitality.
• Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Dealing with vendors, Telecom company.
