Joint Venture And Inventory Accounting Manager

The role reports directly to the Finance manager, shared services based in Dubai

Provide a key service delivery to the UK, Finance Manager

• The role has 7 direct reports and therefore a key focus is development of individuals within the JV Accounting team and inventory team and to develop and manage succession plan for these teams
• Manage all aspects of being audited by Joint Venture partners from planning to managing exit meetings
• Manage relevant aspects of half year and year end statutory audits
• Ensure an in depth knowledge of the Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs) for you and the team and ensure therefore compliance with such JOAs
• Responsible for General Ledgers for all operated and non-operated joint ventures.
• Manage monthly and year closings for all operated Assets in accordance with the corporate reporting timetable.
• Month end joint venture VOWD and accruals process.
• Manage preparation of monthly partner billings and cash calls for all operated licences.
• Preparation of monthly asset and Joint Venture reporting.
• Monthly AFE reporting.
• Ensure control and accounting processes comply with Group policy and statutory legislation as well as underlying JOA obligations.
• Ensure all AFE’s and asset budget amendments are raised and approved in accordance with Company policy and JOA requirements.
• Accounting for tariffs.
• Input to G&A Budget preparation for JV Accounting and Inventory
• Implementation of an effective JV control environment.
• Facilitate preparation of Ad hoc analytical data.
• Work with Business services to deliver and improved inventory control environment

Salary:
AED 30,000 to 32,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this Joint Venture and Inventory Accounting Manager position

• Professionally qualified (ACCA, CMA, CA)
• A joint venture accounting and inventory management experience gained in an Oil and Gas Operator environment
• Be able to lead and develop teams, be able to manager teams based in multiple geographic locations
