Job description / Role
We are seeking a Judicial Clerk / Paralegal, ideally with Common law experience for our prestigious, professional services client. This is a very exciting organisation with a strong remit and we are seeking an individual who has had specific experience in either the UK, USA and/or Australian legal system.
The role encompasses responsibility for all activities for official submission, collection of application approval and the prompt processing of all legal documents and filings. Full administrative support is required as well as strong research skills within the legal field and the ability to present findings to judges, case studies and complex document filing and drafting judgements and orders; you are the main focus for the client, providing up to date and detailed reports on a regular basis.
Strong administrative skills, coupled with excellent organizational ability and high attention to detail are required for this position. The successful candidate will be highly analytical and have strong English grammatical ability, being able to write clearly and concisely, whilst under pressure and draft and implement decisions and policies. Additionally, you will maintain close relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and conduct extensive legal research; preparing advanced presentations to support the research. There will be ad-hoc project work and day to day administrative duties for the department as a whole.
This is a dynamic and fast paced environment, where you will be expected to be highly self-motivated with excellent time management and inter-personal skills. Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Law or equivalent and further legal qualifications and / or Bar Admission would be considered of huge advantage. Candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience within a court / chambers environment ideally and be committed to this stringent application process.
