Employment: Full Time

Versatile International has openings for junior estimates to support our business int he Middle East and Australia. Reporting to a senior estimator, this role offers the suitable candidate the opportunity to become part of a fast-growing team that not only delivers exceptional results but also contributes to the remarkable progress and growth of Saudi Arabia.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 1 – 2 years’ experience as an estimator in the construction field and should exhibit exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills. Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail is required along with excellent management and negotiation skills.

the candidate should be experienced in the planning, executing and reporting of process and system audits and display a good working knowledge of management systems and their application to projects. An undertanding and experience of working with applicable regulatory bodies is an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Carefully reviewing and examining data and documents such as analysis reports, purchase orders, and subcontracts
- Collecting and gathering the information that will be used to produce project estimates
- Coming up with correct and accurate cost information that is required for construction projects
- Forecasting how long it will take to complete a particular project
- Preparing quantity and cost estimates for several civil work components
- Identifying and evaluating all technical issues that are related to a particular project
- Planning and organizing, and estimating work assignments, as well as other tasks as required by the management
- Identifying bid opportunities, visiting project sites, and attending pre-bid meetings
- Assist the lead estimator in collecting and gathering detailed information that will be used to produce project estimations.
- Support the lead estimator in obtaining best prices for materials, and ensuring correctness and accuracy by reviewing estimates; and ensuring proper bid administration by estimating the time, materials, and equipment that are required for job completion.
- Carry out estimation tasks as directed to ensure tender deadlines are met. Ensure all activities are included in the project development schedule, including the collaborative activities with other functional groups.
- Assist the lead estimator in preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
- Liaise and follow up with subcontractors as directed to ensure bids are received, while working with project management teams to follow up on bids and budgets ensuring that relevant documents are submitted before a bid deadline.
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and estimates costs of materials, labour, and use of equipment required to fulfill all provisions of the contract.
- Assist lead estimator in the creation of all final estimates to be given to the operations and accounting team for creation of the project budgets.
- Assist as directed with regular reporting to Management and in keeping clients updated on the project status. Support as directed with reviewing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
- Assist as directed with subcontractor / vendor prequalification process and assure that awarded subcontractors have provided supporting qualification documents including experience and financial capabilities.
- Support the team in maintaining a library of updated pricing and outputs data including subcontractor capability and performance data to assist with the management of production and negotiating estimates and tenders.
- Ensures that company and departmental procedures are followed and that quality and service standards are maintained at all times.
- Coordinate and communicate with Operations on clarifying requirements or directing these to the lead estimator as needed. - Maintain knowledge of project progress to ensure these are delivered to clients’ expectations through effective monitoring and communication.
- Participate in Lessons Learned process and drive proposed changes that will enhance project success. Initiate enhancements and implementation improvements identified in the lessons learned process.
