Kitchen Steward - Cove Beach Restaurant
A steward ensures the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times. A steward will maintain a proper level of clean inventory with a high standard of cleanliness according to the sanitation code.
Main duties include:
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order
- Check all chemical levels and inventory
- Clean, sanitize and open/close work stations
- Adhere to sanitation guidelines and dispose of waste
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor proper tank temperature and chemicals
- Record all breakage
- Complete day-end dishwasher maintenance;
- Clean all soiled items
- Dispose of all broken items in the proper area
- Assist the kitchen team as needed
Requirements
- Experience: Previous stewarding experience required.
- Education: The ideal candidates will have a high school degree
- Core competencies: Detail oriented, ability to work quickly and efficiently, ability to work as part of a team.
- Capable to work under pressure / busy time
