Job description / Role
The Land Surveyor is part of the surveying team and will be providing all necessary assistance to the construction supervision team with respect to all surveying works and quantity measurement aspects for the project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises/carries out field surveys, assisted by a chainman.
- Ability to realize project requirements and deliver in accordance with company/client requirements and guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to oversee and manage survey aspects of site construction activities.
- Provide support to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Perform duties in accordance with company’s highest quality expectations, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise with other agencies (Consultants/Contractors) to coordinate the survey work.
- Prepare neat sketches to support the field work.
- Preserve all the survey information (field books, sketches & calculations).
- Perform any other essential duties that immediate superior may assign from time to time.
Requirements
- Relevant technical qualification and must have not less than 4 years of experience in survey works with modem instruments in works related to infrastructure works.
- He must know all areas in the Emirate of Dubai and have thoughtful knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the Emirates of Dubai.
- Experience of inspection/supervising of project activities/works.
- Highly experienced in Total Station and their associated software.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD and other related softwares.
- Familiar with the DM General Conditions of Contract, Quality Assurance and Surveying.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare instructions, specifications, and reports and cost estimates.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Enthusiasm to contribute/participate in business development and growth.
