Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Landside Operations Manager is responsible for all company stores including the receiving and dispatch of materials from the stores, the assembly of inflight catering products prior to aircraft loading and the management of the laundry service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain and improve service level agreements relating to the standards in which inflight catering products are assembled and stored within the airline trolleys
• Ensure efficient rosters are in place to service all client requirements during peak and off peak periods
• Coordinate with airline clients and service delivery department to ensure all service level agreements are adhered to with no delays
• Coordinate with the production departments to ensure all foods are prepared within set times to achieve and adhere to the service level agreements
• Maintain optimum number of airline equipment to ensure adequate availability of materials for all flights according to agreed schedules and volumes
• Responsible for all stores within Alpha Flight Services including the Main company store, Bond store, Dry store and Equipment's store
• Maintain consistent store management processes across all stores to ensure accurate reporting of inventory levels at each store
• Coordinate with procurement function to ensure space availability for all orders placed and confirm once deliveries have been received
• Responsible for the laundry service offered to Air Arabia amongst other internal and external customers
• Ensure efficient processes within the laundry service to adhere to timelines and efficiency targets
• Delivers the department budget proposals for costs associated with labour, utilities, chemicals, capital expenditure and consumables as well as laundry revenue and P&L projection
• Defines the objectives of the team, trains, empowers and supports independent and creative thinking to strengthen the team based effort
• Responsible for the recruitment of staff within his departments, and the development of succession planning for the team

Requirements

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
• 10 years operations experience in catering industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a management position
• Excellent English written and verbal skills
