Under broad direction, this position has bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of a project. Has responsibility for all phases of project planning and execution on large-sized domestic and international projects. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Has responsibility for day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction. Possesses knowledge of the respective industry. Supervises personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders. May also serves as the proposal manager of large domestic and international project proposals. Job role has budgetary accountabilities.

KBR is looking to fill a role of Lead Architect to be based in Abu Dhabi - UAE

Responsibilities
- Deliver architectural engineering services that meet KBR', its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Initiate, manage and if required supervise architectural engineering project requirements.
- Perform architectural engineering services such as:
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders.
- If required, act as the architectural engineering Lead on specific projects.
- If responsible for a team:
- Able to lead, motivate & guide team comprising Architects & Designers
- Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress
- Must have experience in manpower planning and CSA design deliverables execution planning and handling
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in architectural engineering.
- If required, assist and support junior personnel within the architectural engineering team.
- Communicate effectively with the architectural engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Requirements

Technical and Industry Experience
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the architectural engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Competent use of architectural engineering specific software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Substantial technical land practical experience in architectural engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
- A recognised and relevant engineering degree.
- 15+ years of project experience in the design of Conceptual, Feed and Detailed Engineering.
