Lead Contracts Engineer - Dubai
Our client, a leading organization in the UAE, is looking for a Lead Contracts Engineer, to join their growing team in Dubai.
As a Lead Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a high level of understanding of legal and technical issues, in order to resolve disputes and resolve complex commercial issues. You will also be responsible for high value commercial activities including the tendering procedures, change management, contract preparation, negotiation of terms and conditions and provide practical commercial solutions to any claims or disputes. You will advise departments in relation to contract process management, to ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with the company’s contracting guidelines. In addition, you will lead the team, in the preparation of sourcing strategy, tender board memo’s and post contract performance reviews.
Requirements
In able to qualify for the role, you must be western educated and Degree qualified, ideally in Law and have a minimum of 10 years’ contracts experience within the Oil & Gas industry. Drilling experience is essential, in addition to being able to demonstrate a high level of commercial and technical knowledge. You must also be computer literate, with a working knowledge of ERP systems desirable.
