Lead Contracts Engineer

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client a leading oil and gas operator that is based in Dubai we are looking to recruit a Lead Contracts Engineer. Reporting to the Contracts Team Lead you will be responsible for providing a high level of understanding and legal and technical issues in order to resolve disputes and resolve complex commercial issues, be responsible for high value commercial activities including the tendering procedures, change management, contract preparation, negotiation of terms and conditions and provide practical commercial solutions to any claims or disputes. Advise user departments in relation to contract process management to ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with the company contracting guidelines. Lead the Contract Commitment team in the preparation of sourcing strategy, tender board memos and post contract performance reviews throughout the contracts active lifestyle and be responsible for post award monitoring to ensure compliance with the terms of the contract.

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 45,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be degree educated in law, ten years contracts experience in oil and gas operations, engineering/drilling experience is essential with extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of tenders/contracts of small, medium, large scale projects.
