Legal Counsel

Job description / Role

As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements to support the Company's business while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Managing and mitigating legal risks, providing timely legal counsel to executives. The Legal Counsel plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company's interests and maintaining its legal rights in complex legal matters.

Description

* Draft, unify and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights.
* Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business to protect the company's needs.
* Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures to support the Company's needs and protect the Company's interest.
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements to support the business in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company.
* Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of corporate legal policies and procedures across the group.

Requirements

* 5+ years of commercial/corporate law experience, including a minimum of 2 years with a law firm.
* Bachelor's in law from a reputable university
* Qualified in the UK, US or similar jurisdiction
* For non-UK or US qualified individuals, bilingual proficiency in Arabic/English is required
* Experience in retail or telecommunications sector is desirable
