Legal Counsel

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our organization in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and support to the organization on a wide range of legal issues related to construction projects, contracts, and regulatory compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents including contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments
- Participate in negotiations and settlements with external parties and stakeholders
- Stay updated and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Manage and oversee any litigation or legal disputes that may arise
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure legal risks are properly identified and managed
- Conduct legal research and analysis as required
- Advise on corporate governance and other legal matters as necessary

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution, LLM or additional certifications is a plus
- Proven experience working as a Legal Counsel in the construction industry or related field
- In-depth knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and industry practices in the UAE
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Fluency in English, Arabic language skills will be an advantage
