Job description / Role
- Prepare agreements, contracts and other documents regarding the transactions required by the legal department to pursue its business and provide timely opinion and advice about legal issues affecting company and its subsidiary's operations.
- Assist in providing accurate legal advice to the Board Committees and Senior Management regarding corporate legal matters, outline legal implications of the issues that company and its subsidiaries face while carrying out its business and suggest alternatives, if necessary, to ensure the company's interests are protected against any potential legal risk/liability and/or detrimental reputational risks.
- Support in providing legal services in a timely, proactive and efficient manner to all levels of the business, primarily in areas such as information technology, intellectual property, confidentiality agreements, contract management and any other practice areas allocated by the General Counsel.
- Support in assisting the General Counsel in the review and monitoring/implementation of legal policies and procedures and managing legal risk.
- Draft standard contract templates and legal documents and continuously update and add to the templates in use, depending inter alia on the needs of the business, change in legislation, and legal risk analysis (Such contracts and documents include without limitation: memoranda of understanding; joint venture agreements; shareholders’ agreements; company Memoranda and Articles of Association; and commercial agreements of various types such as agreements for supply of products and services)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Legal Services
