Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

DUTIES:

• Work with the Head of Marketing to implement various projects and initiatives
• Monitor the SEO reports on a monthly basis and assist with improving the SEO strategy by identifying and tracking key words, metadata and linkages – ensure that articles are aligned with the SEO strategy
• Assist in developing new content and format for the website and through the CMS system, be able to upload articles and press releases as well as making changes to the website
• Drive the usage of the CRM system and act as the data steward to ensure that all contacts of clients and prospects are captured on the system with all relevant fields to ensure mass mailing and targeted marketing campaign execution. Do reporting after campaigns and arrange training sessions with users across all offices
• Coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities across all offices
• Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future services as well as to position the firm optimal vis-à-vis rivals
• Monitor, review and do a post-mortem on all marketing and BD activities that the firm engaged in
• Have sufficient experience in doing listings in legal directories such as the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners – the candidate also has to have established relationships with the various contact people
• Assist with awards submissions such as the Legal 500 and Oath awards – ensure on-time delivery and do post-mortems. Build on existing relationships with the submission panel
• Do registrations for trade association and groups memberships such Meritas, INTA, and ACC – have comprehensive understanding of what the memberships entails and what the benefits are – ensure that we get all the benefits during the duration of the contract
• Manage global and local pitches, tenders and proposals – do post-mortems afterwards and track win/loss reporting
• Assist in developing new collateral such as brochures, flyers, booklets and client briefings - ensure that translation into Arabic is done – all needs to conform with the CI document excellent copywriting skills are essential
• Work closely with the Head of marketing and the PR agency to ensure headline publications, social media elevation and do post-mortems after placement and posting
• Assist the Head of marketing to organize and manage various events and conferences across all offices. Ensure that all the relevant marketing material, invites, name tags and such are in place - track follow-ups and post-mortems
• Build strong relationships with media contacts to establish the firm’s presence in the market place across all offices - maintain the relationships
• Monitor relevant market and industries to suggest article and presentation topics to fee earners, and suggest opportunities for article publications and speaking slots for reputation elevation
• Create a strong presence on social media across all platforms with regular updates on events, awards, articles, monthly e-newsletter and do a post-mortem after campaigns
• Assist the Head of Marketing with database analyses and report preparation – following the RFM model and pareto principle
• Market intelligence - conduct research via appropriate resources on existing/prospective clients/opportunities and track industry/market trends (including competitor tracking) to support key client winnings
• Monitor the marketing and BD budget
• Support key regional cross-selling initiatives, including but not limited to individual practice groups and offices.

Requirements

SKILLS:

• Fluent in English, Arabic is a bonus
• Project management skills, Ability to fully own a project and complete it in budget and deadline
• CRM (InterAction preferred), System changes, searches, imports, exports, data steward, and understanding of the back office
• E-marketing (MailChimp preferred), Building campaigns, writing for external and internal audiences, and research skills
• Website and SEO, Writing skills, SEO skills, posting on the website, site maintenance, building new pages using our WordPress template, and basic HTML coding
• Design, Basic skills in PowerPoint or another software
• Proposals, Pitches, and Presentations, Legal writing skills, basic knowledge of varied practice group and industries, strong knowledge in Corporate and Litigation, communication with senior management skills
• Business Development, Confidence in speaking and pitching, having an existing network of potential clients and contacts
• Marketing, Strong knowledge of brand management, positioning, and reputation management
• Market intelligence, Strong knowledge of the legal industry, basic knowledge of varied industries, and an interest in current events, future developments, and relevant markets
