Employment: Full Time

The Load Control Operations Controller will be responsible for the oversight, and control of Emirates Centralised Load Control operation across the network. Ensures all service providers are complying to standards and procedures as defined in Emirates Ground Operations Manual, Freighter Weight and Balance Manual and other industry governing documents on all Emirates passenger and freighter flights. Proactively monitors Emirates weight & balance activities including digital ramp processes to ensure GSP agreed service levels are met, regulatory standards are maintained, and that payload and revenue is optimised, highlighting potential problems to relevant stakeholders. Resolve situations before affecting the operation and effectively conduct recovery actions for Load Control related disruptions so that safety, on-time performance and commercial interests are optimised.

In this role you will:

- Maintain constant oversight of Emirates Centralised Load Control operation, ensuring all Emirates flights and all W&B team are compliant with standards and procedures depicted in Emirates Ground Operations Manual, Freighter Weight & Balance Manual and other industry governing documents so that day-to-day operational excellence is maintained.
- Act as focal point of contact and subject matter expert for aircraft weight & balance, IATA DGR and Zafire Firstload globally. Provides effective guidance and support to all relevant stakeholders around the network, including but not limited to VP-Network Control, Flight Operations, Emirates SkyCargo, and Maintenance Control Centre and local station representation etc.
- Initiates and manage immediate recovery actions in the event of safety incidents linked to loading and/or load control across the network ensuring corporate and regulatory safety standards are maintained. This includes oversight of the network-wide use Zafire ramp reconciliation tool approving the use of the manual BCP (business continuity plan) in the event that the ramp tool is unavailable.
- Conduct daily flight inspection checklist as part of regulatory compliance, highlight safety and efficiency incidents to relevant stakeholders and report through specified channels to ensure a thorough investigation.
- Prepare weight and balance documents for ferry, ad-hoc and charter flights operated by Emirates due to the increased risk profile associated with such complex and dynamic operations. This includes but is not limited to unplanned flight diversions, commercial charters and Emirates VIP operations on the A319CJ and Phenom 100 aircraft.
- Responsible for maintaining full situational awareness on flights prone to performance limitation, co-ordinate with internal and/or external stakeholders to drive for safe payload optimisation and safe on time performance to support revenue protection and schedule integrity.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices and reports to senior management for evaluation.
- Ensure changes to GOM/GON/GOB are communicated to all stakeholders ensuring time-critical operational updates are provided to enable operational continuity.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
- 8 + years in Airport Operations Load Control.
- Ground handling experience at an international airport in areas of Load Control / Aircraft Loading.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on wide-body aircraft weight and balance.
- Holding current Dangerous Goods certification equivalent to IATA DG Cat 8 or 10.
- Advanced level of knowledge on Amadeus Altea FM, MACS and EKWAB, ability to utilise and interrogate these DCS effectively.
