Maintenance Manager

Job description / Role

• Responsible for ensuring all Mechanical elements in the place of work run smoothly and efficiently.
• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
• Ensure safe working condition for people and machine during operation.
• To train, improve and supervise a planned system which consume less cost and manpower and eliminate equipment breakdown.
• Inspection and routine update on the plant status from key parameter and control Manpower.
• Execute and Plan Automation, Instrument and Electrical Projects.
• Approve and Plan all Shift schedule and Leave plan in coordination with engineers.
• Generate Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance , Safety & Training & Development Plan
• To evaluate the condition of machines to diagnose the problems.
• Repairs and replaces machine / machine parts whenever necessary.
• Create the proper schedules for the maintenance work and ensure it is duly followed with consideration on safety aspects.
• To supervise the maintenance team properly for allotting the maintenance responsibilities.
• Ensure that the machines are regularly serviced and that the plant machineries & utility equipments are running without problems.
• Update and upgrade with the latest developments in the field and upgrading machinery.
• Responsible for keeping the records of all equipments, machines, utilities & maintenance and repair works.
• Guide the maintenance team during breakdowns.
• Ensuring that departmental operations are executed successfully.
• Analyse the technical and business problem; crave effective solutions. Exercise good judgement.
• Providing the appropriate leadership to ensure that departmental operations are improved.
• Take corrective action with subordinates when performance needs improvement.

Requirements

• Must be have atleast 5 years of proven experience as Maintenance Manager with a manufacturing company.
• Should be well experienced in planning maintenance operations
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity
• Must have a diploma or equivalent; Degree in Engineering ideally in Mechanical Engineering.
