Management Accountant

Job description / Role

The role is responsible for providing assistance and support to the Middle East in the provision of management accounting and financial control services including budgeting, reporting and analysis for the office. The role involves working closely with partners and associates to ensure that the key business drivers are clearly understood. This includes month end analysis and review, preparation of budgets and reforecast, as well as ad-hoc queries and general financial analysis.

Requirements

- Delivery of the monthly management accounts within global reporting deadlines, to a suitable level of accuracy, and with a high level of variance analysis and the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts and review of general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with the compilation and submission in the firm's budgeting tool of the annual budget and reforecast for the region, which includes headcount, costs and income. The role will be actively involved in the production of such plans, including financial projections and budgets, and will be responsible for ensuring that all planning activities are completed to the specified deadlines through appropriate co-ordination of actions.
- Completion of the cash flow forecast and updating the cash-flow on a weekly basis for actual income received and expenses incurred. Submission to Group/Head office on a monthly basis.
- The review of interoffice current accounts between the region and other offices in the network and the clear down of agreed costs to the Income Statement.
- Payroll preparation in multi-currency for both offices with compliance to local rules, set up of bank templates for partner drawings and employee salary payments. Deductions for personal expenses & the maintenance of the employee housing loan schedule. Updating the bank template for leavers and new joiners. Processing payroll for partners and staff.
- Managing and monitoring bank reconciliations for office and client accounts for the region.
