Direct and manage the overall Performance and functions carried out by the Treasury Department. Monitor day-to-day funds, identify surpluses/excess cash and evaluate alternative options for placement of surplus funds or repayment of loans. Through AD Ports funding programs to ensure that the financial structure remains sound and that capital is available for the execution of business activities

Core Responsibilities

- Monitor and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the Cash & Bank Management system and their interfacing with the other software systems at Abu Dhabi Ports.
- Develop and maintain continuous relationships with local and foreign financial Institutions, on behalf of Abu Dhabi Ports.
- Monitor and forecast corporate cash fund flows and account balances. Administers investment of working capital funds in accordance with approved policies.
- Manage and ensure the timely preparation of management reports relating to objectives.
- Ensure at all times, that proper evaluations are made on the capabilities of local and foreign banks to absorb Abu Dhabi Ports deposits, and Abu Dhabi Ports risk exposure by studying information obtained regarding their capacity, liquidity, security, etc., to ensure the safety of Company funds.
- Ensure that bank guarantees received in favor of ABU DHABI PORTS are in compliance with Abu Dhabi Ports’ policies and that the process of receiving, safekeeping and release of bank guarantees is efficiently administered.
- Guarantee that the process of reviewing, safekeeping and negotiation of Letters of Credit in favor of Abu Dhabi Ports is efficiently administered.
- Plan and Manage Risk Management and Insurance programs to ensure that the corporate personnel, assets, revenues and liabilities are adequately protected from risks in a cost effective manner.
- Assist the CFO in formulating Abu Dhabi Ports financial and and treasury policies, and provides direction and supervision over the implementation of such policies
- Assist and advise Abu Dhabi Ports in Banking arrangements, account opening and liaising with banks for securing better facilities and service.
- Recommend to the CFO any changes regarding bank accounts and their authorized signatories, including opening / closing of accounts and addition / deletion of authorized signatories.
- Initiate and participate in the negotiation of loan agreements for Abu Dhabi Ports and affiliated and subsidiary companies. Includes analyzing terms and conditions of loan negotiations and agreements, and attends meetings at which loans are negotiated.
- Ensure optimal utilization of Abu Dhabi Ports surplus liquidity.
- Performing any other related duties to the job as assigned by his/ her direct supervisor.

Strategic Responsibilities

- Appraise/evaluate financing opportunities and options available to Abu Dhabi Ports, both internally / externally, and recommends financing programs.
- Plan, develop and promote investment schemes at corporate level and acts as the financing, investments and risk management competence for the Abu Dhabi Ports for offering information, recommendations and directives.
- Manage the administration of Abu Dhabi Ports loans, verification of interest charges, and selection of interest periods and payments of interest and loan installments.

People Management Responsibilities

- Direct, manage and supervise the activities of assigned personnel in the Treasury Management Division. Performs supervisory functions and exercises authority at Division Manager level as established by Management
- Plan and participate in the ongoing training and development of assigned UAE National employees, including assessing employees training and development needs, directing the preparation of structured development / familiarization programs, monitoring and reporting on progress and counseling employees as required.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /Finance or equivalent.
- Professional accounting qualifications; CMA and Associate of financial institutions.
- 10 years managerial experience
