Manager Financial Accounting

Job description / Role

• To ensure efficient, timely and effective operations within the financial accounting department. To train and develop a strong financial accounting team supporting accurate and timely financial reporting and providing accurate and timely financial information for strategic MIS.
• Managing a team of 15 plus professionals, tending to the areas of accounts payables, fixed assets and inventories accounting. Training and development teams, designing roles and job descriptions and delegation of duties across teams
• Continuously reviewing the accounting system and processes and suggesting and implementing improvements of more efficiency. Taking ownership of financial information prepared by subordinates, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
• Preparing and presenting up to date, accurate and timely financial information for month end and year end closing processes.
• Reviewing the work of accounts payables team, ensuring that all processes and sub-processes are running smoothly and seamlessly. Addressing issues thereon. Ensuring conformance to best practices within the payments process.
• Approving invoices, journals and corrections before they are posted in the accounting system.
• Reviewing the work of fixed assets and stocks supervisors, reviewing and ensuring that fixed assets register is updated and depreciation calculations are accurate.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing for all Bus
• Approving accruals journals and corrections before they are posted in the accounting system.
• Adhoc management reporting
• Timely preparation and review of month end schedules for all BS line items

Requirements

• ACA/CPA/ACCA
• Big 4 experience is a must
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in UAE
