Job description / Role
We are looking for a VAT Manager to be based in Dubai. The purpose of the role is to manage and lead the entire Tax function.
The responsibilities of the VAT Manager include:
* Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
* Provide inputs to develop and implement tax strategies ensuring compliance with local laws and accounting standards.
* Provide periodic training and updates to the in house team in regards to VAT implementation, documentation and compliance.
* Determine the tax compliance implications associated with various business proposals.
* Managing indirect tax risk across business processes
* Running an efficient, cost effective tax function
* Ensure timely regulatory filing, tax accounting/reconciliation, etc
Requirements
* Must be qualified CA/CPA or hold a professional degree in Accountancy, Finance or Law from a recognized institute.
* Should have experience in indirect tax
* Possess Strong technical knowledge regarding indirect tax
* Demonstrate experience in the supervision and training of employees
